In conclusion we followed conventions of dub step music videos as well as media theories within our video. We used majority of the themes and the styles of filming which meant that we could create a club scene for the song.

We followed the very repeated conventions of having club scenes but included in this we followed Carol Vernallis's theory with including lots of jump cuts in our editing as well as using slow motion in our dance clips to make our video look much more engaging and interesting. This was liked by our target audience. Although, we did not comply with Carol Vernallis's theory completely as we did not include any special effects such as wipe but we developed this into only using slow motion.

However we didn't include Laura Mulvey's theory of dismembering women. We only used parts of the body but did not pan up or down. Additionally they were not zoomed into any particular features and we were able to see Amal's face multiple times giving her some power in the video. In the video on the left we liked the way the camera followed the womens legs very well and we wanted to try to recreate that.

Although we edited the base tracks that we used to the beat, we didn't move the camera to the beat which goes against Carol Vernallis's theory, however we thought the editing and the dancing worked best for our mixture of illustration and amplification

These clips also enforce our use of influences from dub step videos as well as using many jump cuts in the introduction to our song. We felt the use of central London with the bright lights and busy areas worked very well with the main club theme. This included using the Fire Exit sign in the bathroom.

These were generic mixer shots that are used in many dub step videos. We decided to film it from behind the DJ because we felt as though it would place the viewer in the scene and feel more involved in the video. This helps the purpose of the video to promote the artist and gain more fans and if we include them in the video then they feel a part of the journey the artist is making.
