WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE: 

I lecture Business Analysis to tourism and IT students. I am doing research on AI in tourism and real estate. At Cyberlearn, I lead a team of 7 colleagues providing e-learning services, development and support to 35'000 users in 6 faculties. 

 

WHY I AM IN THIS TPG:

To exchange, learn and contribute to a consensus. And because quality will be the next big issue for fragmented, distributed and mobile learning.

Ten years ago I stepped down as a UAS Business School director and started working as a CEO in the economy. I am convinced that good teachers must practice what they preach. Since 2021 I am back to academia again.

I have always been interested in research from my beginnings as a university student since my PhD. 
I like to spend my free time practicing outdoor sports and I'm a realfooding woman.

WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE: 

My role involves designing training sessions, seminars, workshops for students & instructors and providing guidance on pedagogy and instructional technologies. I have been working on learning design, curriculum and digital material development, adoption of digital learning tools as well as learning analytics. More recently, I designed an effective teaching certificate program for the instructors at our university and the third participating cohort has just started the program. Also as a researcher, I have presented at conferences & published articles.  

 WHY I AM IN THIS TPG:

I want to collaborate with the members from other European universities, exchange experiences and good practice, and wish to take part in any future projects in the field of higher ed teaching and learning with the other volunteer members in the TPG.

I live on the edge of the forest, have three daughters (students) and three dogs.
I like to share my free time with my family and love to visit Mediterranean:-)

WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE: 
 Doing research on educational technology is the main part of my work and this activity invests many themes like the experimentation of innovative teaching and learning methods, the development of digital learning environments, teacher training on technology enhanced learning, digital inclusion and learning design. I teach game-based learning and maker education.

 WHY I AM IN THIS TPG: 

To discover and share with colleagues innovative experiences and good practices on higher education teaching and learning.
 
SOMETHING SLIGHTLY UNEXPECTED YET (perhaps) USEFUL ABOUT ME:
 I like sports that me feel more connected to nature like skiing, kayaking, trekking and stand-up paddling. Furthermore, I’m a digital gamer from the times of arcade video games. These passions apparently distant from my work inspire me a lot and give me energy and new ideas.

WHY I AM IN THIS TPG
"The value of technology exists only in the good pedagogical use that teachers make of it." (Hayo Reinders) That is why I am here, to learn about how I can unlock the potential of technology to motivate and support language learners, to  

understand the best practices for implementing technology in language learning and teaching, to create a learning space using technology, and last but not least, to integrate technology into the classroom practice.

Researcher at Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development. Assistant Professor at Lusófona University

 

 

WHAT THIS MEANS IN PRACTICE: 

I develop research in the field of Higher Education with a focus on the academic profession. My main research interest is to study the impact that the increasing relevance of research in universities has on the reconfiguration of professors' teaching practices in higher education. I also teach comparative education and research methods. 

 

 

WHY I AM IN THIS TPG:

My interest in this TGP is to share and dialogue with colleagues about current trends and challenges in the field of digital skills, trying to understand how this has impacted the lives of the professors.

 In my free time I like to be with my family and my dog (Basco), especially near the sea.
