         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>HOW HEPATITIS B SPREADS?<br></strong>Hepatitis B is spread when blood, semen, or other body fluid infected with the Hepatitis B virus enters the body of a person who is not infected. People can become infected with the virus during activities such as:</div><ul><li>Birth (spread from an infected mother to her baby during birth)</li><li>Sex with an infected partner</li><li>Sharing needles, syringes, or other drug-injection equipment</li><li>Sharing items such as razors or toothbrushes with an infected person</li><li>Direct contact with the blood or open sores of an infected person</li><li>Exposure to blood from needlesticks or other sharp instruments</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong><br>How Common Is Hepatitis B?<br></strong><br></div><div>The number of people who get this disease is down, the CDC says. Rates have dropped from an average of 200,000 per year in the 1980s to around 18,000 in 2012. People between the ages of 20 and 49 are most likely to get it.<br><br></div><div><br></div><div>Only 5% to 10% of adults and children older than 5 who have hepatitis B end up with a chronic infection. The numbers aren’t so good for those younger than 5 (25% to 50%) and even higher for infants infected at birth (90%).<br><br></div><div>As many as 1.4 million people in the U.S. are carriers of the virus.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Symptoms of HIV</strong><br>About 40% to 90% of people have flu-like symptoms within 2-4 weeks after HIV infection. Other people do not feel sick at all during this stage, which is also known as acute HIV infection. Early infection is defined as HIV infection in the past six months (recent) and includes acute (very recent) infections. Flu-like symptoms can include:<br><br></div><ol><li>Fever</li><li>Chills</li><li>Rash</li><li>Night sweats</li><li>Muscle aches</li><li>Sore throat</li><li>Fatigue</li><li>Swollen lymph nodes</li><li>Mouth ulcers</li></ol><div>These symptoms can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks.
