Digging in my allotment I found several of my Red Duke of York potatoes had been mostly eaten by soil wireworm.

I photographed a footprint on the beach in Whiteford Beach, Gower, and views from the nature reserve.

Using a Tablet and stylus I made some sketches of the objects and experimented with layers and negative space.

I sat for two drawing sessions in among the trees in Whiteford Nature Reserve and listened to the wind and bird song as I sketched.

With the cut outs from copies of drawings and photographs I experimented with layering and negative space.

An email arrived, 50% off photo books, this presented an opportunity of displaying the results in an art book. We have all seen at some stage a cutout book in childhood or birthdays.

The forest as an imagined or real place, when are we on the inside ?

Through the viewers eyes a sense of place in the forest as they turn the pages.

The video tries to give the viewer the feel of turning the pages of the book.
