This helped factories produce textiles much faster and gain more profit from the sold items.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

The conference with 14 countries, discussing what Africa’s future, deeply impacted this time period because this conference completely changed Africa and its people when it began to be taken over by people to find gold and diamonds, resulting in changed the relationships between Africa and all 14 countries involved with the “race”.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Chinese emperor sent a letter to Queen Victoria in 1839 requesting that the British stop smuggling an addictive drug, Opium, across the Chinese border. Queen Victoria refuses to do anything about the situation and continues to let the Opium be smuggled across borders, resulting in an angry emperor due to the lack of initiative of Queen Victoria and this started the Opium Wars of 1839. The time period was impacted due to China losing the war and holding a grudge over Britain, causing tension between two large countries.&nbsp;</p>]]></description>
