Today the island is almost entirely dependent on tourism. In recent years several resorts have been built on the islets of the reef surrounding the lagoon. In the 80s, the Bora Bora Hotel built the first over-the-water.
It is an ideal place for all lovers of water sports and also for those who love nature. But, in addition, it is a place where it is possible to learn about religious rites, visiting its curious church of Vaitape, Turtle Centre. And, as if that were not enough, it allows you to easily enjoy cruise tours to other islands and amaze the most demanding palates for its aromas and flavors.
