For me, this song has a super ambient, almost haunting aura around it. This is a 1994 cover of Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan" written and had the lead guitar part slightly improvised by Dimebag Darrell.

This song is made almost entirely of lead guitar, rhythm guitar, a bass line and occasional drum taps. The tempo of Black Sabbath's "Planet Caravan" is 90 BPM, which gives the song a slower and more ambient feel.

• What the lyrics, vibe or mood of the songs mean to you? Despite the title, this is in no way about caravans, I believe it's a poetic exploration of nature and space. The vibe is quite spacy, and the mood is quite light

Yes, this is a song from a video game, more specifically Minecraft, this song is the best to flick on when i'm in any mood besides happy. It is a very effects based song, as you struggle to point out an individual instrument and is made fully of modified synthesizer's, glockenspiel like melodies (the creator of the song is from scandanavia) and rhythmic percussion. Being released in late 2013 for the game Minecraft, this song closely resembles the other songs found through the game.

• What it is you like about each song - this track is instrumental, so no lyrics. It's a song of nostalgia for me as i spent many an hour playing this game

Parasite is a folk like acoustic number described as a 'declaration of self loathing'

• What the lyrics, vibe or mood of the songs mean to you? - sombre mood, Drake observes people in London (reminded me of William Blake's poem London which is full of despair), and he considers himself a drain on humanity. It's a sad song especially considering his tragic suicide.

On successful completion of this diploma, i would like to complete a level 3 qualification in music production to further the skills outlined above with a view to completing an integrated foundation degree at the university of Northampton.

My ultimate goal is to secure a role in music production - specifically a sound engineer. I have a good ear for sound, am passionate about all types of music, love seeing ideas turn into reality and enjoy collaboration.

A music performer is someone who composes, conducts or (obviously) performs music. This position encompasses a broad spectrum of people, including symphonic musicians, DJ's, Backup singers, supporting instrumentalists and solo performers. Since a performer is in charge of displaying the music made, a composer is the one who makes the music itself.

What are the roles and responsibilities of a music performer?

• PRACTICE - Practice is the most important part of playing music, keeping your instrumental and singing skills. This usually happens during group rehearsals where (in a bands instance) will all get together to practice their songs with other people and maybe orchestras, depending on the song.

• Live performances - As a musician, the majority of money made will come from live performances such as concerts, clubs, theatres and festivals.

• Recording - This is when and where the music is captured and released as a record either in a shop or online.

• EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE - Keeping good care of the equipment you use is very very very important along with the tuning and setting up of instruments.

Performing arts refers to any sort of art that involves performing in front of an audience. In contrast to visual arts, which use static mediums like painting, performing arts involve movement, sound and storytelling. This comes in many forms such as:

- Theatre: like acting, play writing and stage performance.

- Dance: including ballet, jazz tap, contemporary and commercial.

- Music: both vocal and instrumental.

- Musical theatre: a blend of dance, singing and acting.

- Physical theatre: including mime and movement based performance.

- Spoken word / Poetry: the art of performing prose with rhythm.

The lady who was there displaying the assembly, gave an example oh how her father changed career paths, a fair way into his life and how it worked out just fine for the guy.

Not much to improve besides general knowledge of the course compared to people in their second or third year of music. The friend group ive sunk my way into has a few people in it with alot of production experience, so naturally i feel the urge to catch up with them in what they know.

Since starting i've learned how to store musical equipment correctly and safely, setting up musical equipment, how to use, how to make tracks in a DAW, how to use tools in Logic pro, how to Loop, bus, track stack, splice, trim and how to complete and master tracks in DAWs.

Besides being told off the occasional time, i am loving the course mainly the hands on practical side of it and is a breath of fresh air compared to my previous 2 years of college.
