We do not open up easily and we tend to keep a physical distance. We value punctuality and if you are late to a meeting this would be seen as impolite. We are goal driven and failing to meet deadlines can be shameful. We live by the phrase ‘There is no time like the present’ which means we do not like to delay things. We tend to be very considerate and diplomatic with people we are negotiating with but we do not appreciate aggressive behaviour and we do not tolerate unreliable people. We like to separate work life and personal life.

The music in Bangladesh can be divided into three main categories: classical, modern and folk. Both vocal and instrumental classical music is enjoyed in Bangladesh. Ustad Ayet Ali Khan and Ustad Alauddin are two famous classical instrumental players that are internationally known. Modern music is becoming more popular and is practiced widely. Contemporary, pop songs and bands are also enjoying more widespread fame, but are mainly popular in the regions of Dhaka City.
Islam is the official religion in Bangladesh and is practiced by some 88 percent of the country's inhabitants. Other religions that are active in Bangladesh include Hinduism, Christianity, Buddhism, animism and tribal belief systems.

The majority of the population who follow Islam pursue the Sunni branch of the Muslim religion whilst a small group are Shia.
