         <description><![CDATA[<p>Grants of between £500 and £5,000 are available for organisations.</p><p>Grants of up to £500 are available for individuals and families.</p><p>There are three strands of funding:</p><ul><li><p>Manchester Relief in Need Grants - for adults living in Manchester.</p></li><li><p>Children Relief in Need Grant - for children under the age of 25 in Manchester.</p></li><li><p>District Nursing Fund - for the relief of people living in Manchester, Salford, or Trafford, who are on low income and are sick, convalescent, or disabled.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>The trustees meet on the last Friday of every month (excluding December) to review applications.</p><p><br></p><p>Applications should be submitted before noon of the 15th of every month (excluding December 2025 when the deadline is on the 11th), to be considered at the subsequent trustee meeting.</p>]]></description>

The fund will operate as a rolling funding programme from April 2026 to March 2027. There is no minimum amount you can apply for. The maximum you can request for one project is £5,000.</p><p><br></p><p>You do not need to be a big or established community group.
