It was a crazy change.

It is a unique summer camp for Kentucky high-school gifted students that is tough to replicate....the program changes lives.  GSP led me to Western Kentucky University for my undergraduate degree and lured me back to Kentucky as an adult.

]]> 2019-03-17 05:56:30 UTC https://padlet.com/howellwilliams/k8kna1hm1nhj/wish/342079066 howellwilliams https://padlet.com/howellwilliams/k8kna1hm1nhj/wish/342079241 After a couple of one year visiting professor stints, I found myself teaching at a private high school in Louisville, Kentucky.  It was the hardest job I have ever done...6 different preps!  This gig led to meeting new folks in the community and wonderful parents, one of which invited me to join the company he joined/acquired...The Learning House.  This was an early OPM in the US focused on small and medium sized universities. The individuals that acquired the business knew little about higher ed culture and ways of working (i.e. why do things take so long?), but I did.  It was a perfect fit blending the worlds of education and student experience that I loved while translating this world back into the business. It began just as a learning design company and then branched out into student services (marketing, enrolment and retention). I helped start our Student Success division, B2B division, taught and developed courses among other things.  We grew and sold the business several times over.
