1947 - Truman Doctrine was Signed

The huge impact of the Truman Doctrine was mainly shown through the support of Greece and Turkey when they were so close to communist countries and could’ve easily been converted to communism. With the Truman Doctrine America was giving economic support to these two countries and would give people motivation to disagree with communism and want their country to be capitalist so they would have made a domino effect causing the USSR to lose most of its power over Western Europe.

The Eisenhower Doctrine had a huge impact on the USSR because this gave the USSR the impression that America did not want to fight them directly but America was going to do its best to keep communism out of the Middle East and Western Europe.

1948 - The US Starts Doing Airlifts

The reason America started doing airlifts to Berlin is because was because Stalin closed off every route to import stuff to Berlin which would ultimately lead to the death of thousands of people in Berlin because they couldn’t get food. The reason this was so impactful was because these airlifts if done successfully would save all of these people and stop the ultimate goal of giving up all the sections of Berlin to Stalin after almost a year in 1949 the USSR stopped blocking the routes of imports and Everyone in the allied sides of Berlin would survive the harsh time with just airlifts bring them everything they need to survive.

The Soviet Union built the Berlin Wall to keep the Western countries France, Great Britain, and America away from their section of Berlin. This was so impactful because it separated families from each other, leading others to be morally defeated, which is the opposite of what the allied countries wanted for Germany to be unified, which would lead to the Soviet Union starting to show how they actually felt about the allied countries.

The Korean War began when North Korea surprise attacked South Korea, which led to South Korea asking for America's help America helped because they thought that North Korea was taken over by communism, so they decided to help them try to stay communist-free. This was so impactful because it was one of the first times the Eisenhower doctrine was used. Still, it didn’t have the support of the American people behind it, so aside from it saying that this was required, the American people didn’t want this also it was a thing that caught everyone so America did have time to think about the consequences of the doctrine.

It was the time they stopped fighting because no one was gaining any ground and tons of people were dying for no reason. This was so impactful because this would create the DMZ which still exists today it is an area between the border of North Korea and South Korea that doesn’t allow for fight in this area and since this point was so close to where it started the war only led to a bunch of people dying.

This is so impactful because it shows how on-edge America was by the fact that the USSR could use a bomb at any moment, which at the time was a real scare so they were preparing everyone for the worst.

The act was an act used to reduce how many immigrants could come into America. The reason this act is so important is that it could deny anyone who has come from a place considered a threat to America, so Americans used it as a way to deny anyone who had any relation to communism, which would greatly reduce how many communist spie,s could come into America.

This speech was to show that communism was spreading throughout America and how he was getting all of the spies to confess to being communist. This is so impact because he would later be found using false evidence and would be silenced but he also found a lot of spies to help protect America which is why he was silenced and not put to jail because he still did good stuff for America.
