1. How do developmental scientists study people? What are some advantages and disadvantages of each research method?
Scientists study people by using the scientific method. Part of the scientific method is observation which is most common for scientists to do. People are unpredictable and hard to control at times which is why observing is used more often.
Some disadvantages would be more complex conclusions due to different results and methods. An advantage is it can help validate many assumptions.

2. What ethical problems may arise in research with humans? Some people need consent or have concerns with their privacy during researching methods. This can cause ethical problems or conflict during experiments.

1. What purposes do theories serve?
Theories are a way people can express their thoughts and are important because they can introduce topics for others to research.

2. What are two (2) theoretical issues on which developmental scientists differ? cross-sectional studies are observational studies that include taking a sample or participant over a spectrum and watching the way they interact during their experiment. Longitudinal studies require participants to be observed over any period of time.
