I have been using Pinterest for a long time but mainly for my hobbies and interests. It never crossed my mind to use it as a tool to enhance my learning and teaching skills. Being fairly new to the field of education, I made a new board for effective teaching strategies which could help me in my teaching lessons in the future. I added a few pins to it which I found interesting and engaging. It is my new curation and I am excited to expand on it.

Despite this, the interface is relatively easy to manage and work with. The opportunities to create and personalize a page is seemingly incredibly valuable to the individual educator. I have collected a variety of art project ideas on the page pasted below and it is entirely likely that I will use Pinterest throughout my career for ideas.

I really enjoy learning the notion of curation from this week. It seems to be a new term to me but I realized it happens all the time around us after getting deeper into it! I realized that it has been a long time since I have used Pinterest boards. I tend to browse through Pinterest for teaching ideas but usually jot them down elsewhere. I have only ever browsed Pinterest for lesson plans and fun-day activities in the classroom. In March I got a 8 week old puppy and I would have LOVED to know that there are training resources through Pinterest. Being able to create boards for informational practices, tips, tricks, and just overall cute puppy photos really is a game changer for me. I've spent the last hour and a half going through all the information that Pinterest has to offer, and so many things I am going to try (starting tonight) in terms of training my new puppy! Definitely going to continue using this a resource, especially considering puppy classes are limited due to Covid-19, a lot of what I have learned and continue to learn has been through online resources. Who knew it was so informative!

Hello Everyone!
In 2020, my new fiancé and I bought a farm which we are gradually converting to offer a multitude of organic products and to offer it as a family destination (when covid-19 is not so prevalent).  It is currently providing vegetables and flowers at the market. My fiancé is responsible for the vegetables, I am responsible for creating the flower bouquets to sell at the market. We have had some good success recently. I have consulted Pinterest for many reasons in the past (as mentioned in our weekly task google doc) but I have never tried creating my own collection.
