As a teacher, how would you handle a situation where a student becomes distracted with technology while you are teaching a lesson plan?

I suppose I would address the student and tell them to put the device away (presuming it is a cell phone). I would stop the lesson in an attempt to prevent future interruptions.

If they are on a computer I would give them a warning first that they should get to the page they should be on. If it still continued I would then ask them to close out of everything and log out and to just sit there.

I would start off with a warning that they need to pay attention. If they continue you put their phone in the Phone Jail and they recieve a zero for the assignment

The first thing I would do if a student was being distracted by technology would be to tell them to exit off all of the programs that they are on and if they later continue to get distracted, I will remove them from the area and into one away from the computer. If they are being distracted by their cell phone I will take away their cell phone for the class then return it to them before they leave.

I would put his or her technology in the Teacher's desk so that he or she won't get distracted in class.
