Todrov's basic structure:

All stories start in a state of equilibrium
Then there is a structure of equilibrium
A recognition of the disruption
An attempt to repair the disruption
A reinstatement of the equilibrium

However does not always follow the structure as other techniques could be used to unfold the narrative e.g. flashbacks

The film "28 Days later" follows the exact structure to his theory, within the trailer, it cuts to different parts of the film, which shows the progression of the disruption from a state of equilibrium, this trailer also shows the moral panic that the media can create using footage and warning, putting more fear into the victims.

This clip leads on to the attempt to repair the disruption and then lead on to the reinstallment of the equilibrium, as they are in a safe house which is then disrupted by the zombie which they are then able to kill. This lead to the overcoming of the disruption.

This is the beginning of the film when the main character wakes up from a coma to find a "Vacant" London, which is unusual London is usually busy and lively. This sets the "equilibrium" for the film, which introduces the problem which is the disruption of the "equilibrium".

Within this clip, it is the middle of the destruction, it shows the team drastically trying to change the tyre as the living dead comes after them. This is the recognition of the disruption, which leads onto the process of the attempt to repair the disruption.
