The initiative aims to provide Mental Health First Aid training to people living in rural Wales.

Goal: to reduce stigma and improve understanding of mental health in local communities through a mix of in-person, online, and hybrid workshops for flexibility.

• Training will be led by qualified professionals (e.g., NHS staff), who will train community leaders such as teachers, healthcare workers, council members, and farmers.

• These leaders will then share their learning and support others in their community.

• The program will run over three years for long-term impact

• Sessions will use culturally relevant materials and take place in familiar community spaces like schools or centres.
