Surface Tension

Surface Tension - the tension of the surface film of a liquid caused by the attraction of the particles in the surface layer by the bulk of the liquid, which tends to minimize surface area.
Real world application - walking on water, the density of a human is more than the water

Human and/or global impact - global~shape of droplets of water are formed by gravity which is a global impact…..human~ Surface tension of body fluids correlates directly to the development of pathological states.

Relationship to chemistry- Surface tension is the energy, or work, required to increase the surface area of a liquid due to intermolecular forces.

Relationship to water cycle- evaporation only happens at the surface of the liquid because the top layer of water only has the water molecules under it and none above to attach to. Where as under the first layer they have different molecules all around of them.
Sources: http://hyperphysics.phy-astr.gsu.edu/hbase/surten.html
Video:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7knvK4WxvikZ09qY0NIeTJIekE
