The process first started with the internal organs being taken out and put in decorated jars. The body was being covered in salt, to eliminate any moisture to prevent decay. The special perfumes and oils were spread over the body. Fabric was carefully wrapped around the body. Pendents and good luck charms were placed with in the wrappings. The body would be later placed in a coffin and buried.
