Students will use subject-based, specialized vocabulary to follow directions, accurately, for a set of instructions. Students will understand and apply the unique language of textiles and textile construction techniques to successfully complete a sewing project in class.

Students will be assessed, formatively, as the teacher constantly circulates, appraises, and critiques students as they progress through a standard sewing pattern guide sheet. Students will complete a summative rubric at the conclusion of the lab experience, in which they will evaluate and reflect on their participation and results.

Student possesses outstanding quality or superior merit. Project is remarkably good. Student work is exceptional/superb. 

Student surpasses proficiency and has mastered competency. Student always demonstrates skill or knowledge. Student is doing quality work or always shows skill through active use.
