Students will understand and apply the unique language of textiles and textile construction techniques to successfully complete a sewing project in class.</div><div><br></div><div>Students will be assessed, formatively, as the teacher constantly circulates, appraises, and critiques students as they progress through a standard sewing pattern guide sheet. Students will complete a summative rubric at the conclusion of the lab experience, in which they will evaluate and reflect on their participation and results.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>5 - Excellent</strong></div><div>Student possesses outstanding quality or superior merit. Project is remarkably good. Student work is exceptional/superb. </div><div>Student surpasses proficiency and has mastered competency. Student always demonstrates skill or knowledge. Student is doing quality work or always shows skill through active use.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>4 - Good</strong></div><div>Student work is satisfactory in quality and quantity. Project is acceptable.</div><div>Student is proficient and is able to demonstrate competency. Student regularly demonstrates knowledge or skill. Student regularly shows skill through active use.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>3 - Average</strong></div><div>Student work is normal/ordinary/regular/acceptable. Project is fine.
