During my undergraduate years, I learned about the inequities in our country's educational system and God's heart for correcting social injustices. I wanted to be part of this mission, so I joined Teach for America in 2016 after graduating. I taught preschool for two years through TFA at Bobier Elementary School in Vista, CA. I would love to continue this by teaching Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten after getting my credential. I hope to teach in a Title 1 school back in Vista, CA. I desire to be a teacher who is always learning the best strategies to help her students succeed, a teacher who genuinely cares about her students and their families and a teacher who creates a strong community of learners.
