而龍窯是其中一種窯的建築形式。這種窯是長條形的，大多時候這些窯是依靠山坡/ 地形而興建，遠看就像一條龍附在山上，所以稱為「龍窯」。

當時青山龍窯與市民的日常生活息息相關，大量生產日常陶製器具，包括煲蓋、砂煲、酒樽、錢罌、水渠蓋等等，承載了普羅大眾的生活回憶。現時青山龍窯是香港碩果僅存的龍窯，它不僅是建築古蹟，同時深具人文、社會歷史價值。

The design demonstrate the traditional wisdom of maintaining the temperature of the Kiln and producing quality ceramics. 

Along with the online sharing of Hoi Mei, I have learned much more about the history of Dragon Kiln, the origin of this craft and how amazing those masters were to have created so many vivid works. It is surprising to know such an important historical site is near my home and in need of our care and preservation.
