Because there is a very strong connection between the environment , Technolgy and natural science with Biology, an approach to learning the relationship between all of these through assignments tasking the learners to assess the effect of for example urbanization and agricultural programs to biodiversity would give them an insight into how much of nature we have lost in ways we cannot imagine. extended essays would give them a view at elementary level how scientific research h as contributed to scientific developments in areas of health and medicine.Investigations in the study of the content is among one of the ways to make them look beyond what they see.

While the school is multicultural, with most of the students coming form different African nations with a reasonable number in the Asian pacific, the way they look at nature is diverse. Every one is given a chance to compare ecological , health , intermarriages in relation to the topics being dealt with. This has shown a clear understanding of the difference in communities and how the learners have positively responded to these cases in a constructive and educative way. It also helps to determine how analytical and comparative their skills have grown. The teacher is also given a chance to quantitatively measure the level of attainment of values and attitudes in the learners

5. Understanding the importance of international mindedness in biology course.

Because science is globally the same, the knowledge and understanding, skills, values and attitudes acquired during the study of the course are applied globally. For example, health and disease, a section of the course is one area where this is evident. The skills to prevent disease and values and attitudes a person is expected to have towards the sick do not only keep in the community but cut across the globe. The learner is expected to display these where he is. while a learner may fall sick of a certian disease, i may take the advantage of assessing how the rest respond; the care, advice, who and from which country shows a supporting hand in ways he or she can, may give can be reminder that there is need to reinforce. Environmental protection is a responsibility to everyone. I would take them through the different nations and the strategies different countries take to collectively protect biodiversity.

Having students work in groups and research on an investigation and share their findings in class. Stem cell research has depended on the work of teams of scientists in many countries who share results thereby speeding up the rate of progress. I then ask the Analyse how governments, cultural and religious traditions impacted scientist's and the use of stem cells in therapy.

learners are also asked to research about the relationship between drug use and misuse and crime rate in the different countries.

learners have been tasked to evaluate government policies on environmental protection in relation to economic developmentglobally.
