         <description><![CDATA[<div>Surgery Date: March 15<br>Smartest Point: June 4<br>Regression Started: June 5<br>Last Date: July 27<br>It took Charlie 2.5 months to become smart, and 1.5 months to regress.<br><br><strong><em>It is hard to gain something important, but easy to lose.</em></strong><br><br><strong>- </strong>The progress reports shows the true effect the surgery has on Charlie and his personality change. We learn from the way he writes and his reaction to events in the story.<br><strong>-</strong> <em>Ms. Kinnian</em> - thought he determined and hardworking,  to proud<br><strong>-</strong> <em>The Doctors</em> - thought Charlie was foolish, to felt guilty<br><strong>-</strong> <em>Charlie's Co Workers </em>- made fun of him and did not like him, to felt bad for him and protected him<br><strong>-</strong> The central conflict is that the surgery may or may not work. It is solved when the surgery fails and Charlie loses his intelligence.<br><strong>- </strong> The flowers symbolize the part of Charlie that is gone, just like how Algernon is gone.<br><strong>-</strong>  If you had something and you lost it, you will want it back. When Charlie lost his intelligence, he kept the negative feelings he gained from being more intelligent.<br><strong>-</strong> At the end of the story, Charlie said he was grateful for experiencing intelligence</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>He changed from the beginning to the middle to the end.<br>We learned about Charlie from his writing.<br>Jon and Frank changed from being rude to Charlie to being nice and kind to him at the end.<br>the central conflict is that he is getting surgery to become smarter.<br>He got the surgery on March 15.<br>He got the smartest June 4.<br>About 2 half month of progressively getting smarter.<br>He start regressing June 5.<br>He stopped being intelligent July 25.<br>It took him longer to get smarter and took less time for him to be dumb again.<br>The author is saying that it harder to gain something but it is easier to lose it.<br>Robinson Crusoe was a symbol of what Charlie will become.<br>The dishwasher was a symbol of what Charlie was.<br>He said in a progress report that he would not suggest this to anyone because after the surgery the person will be sad.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Dr. Nemur and Dr. Strauss do change their opinions of Charlie because they felt bad for Charlie in the end because of what they did to him.<br>Ms. Kinnian never changed her opinion of Charlie and always thought he was motivated. In the end, she pitied Charlie and was worried about him. <br>Joe and Frank had made fun of him in the beginning, but when Charlie lost his intelligence, and other people made fun of him, they felt they had to protect him.</div>]]></description>
