I used high fire clay. This piece was hand built using a slab of clay. I also used a template to get the shape of the clay. I added and subtracted clay to form the details

2. I believe the way the glaze came out was successful. I also enjoy the face and the carved out details and the added on eyebrow and nose. I do not like the tail.

I used high fire clay.
This piece was hand built using a slab of clay. I cut the shape of the cup using a template. The foot at the bottom is just a simple square slab. Details of this piece were made with underglaze and by adding and carving clay.

2. I think this piece was successful because it is simple. I think adding on clay made stand out more along with the black stain. I do wish that the underglaze would have cOme out more red.

I used low fire clay to create this piece. for the vase part of it, I used a slab and made a cylinder. for the snake, I added more clay in a rough shape of a snake and smoothed it out and added details. I sprayed the piece with black glaze and wiped it off to stain it and then I glazed it with low fire glaze.

2. I believe that the pattern on the cylinder came out really well and was successful in creating a contrast to this piece. which was good since the glazes ended up turning out similar. the details in the head of the snake were also very nice especially the hooded eyelids. I DO NOT like how the glaze came out

3. I selected this piece because even though I did not like the final product I do love different aspects of this piece.
