 Our phone holder is a formative task and an example where we can follow the design steps and explore the issues. Explore your ideas in this task and hopefully you will gain some insights we can use when you begin to redesign you choice of everyday object.

There should be new and redesigned products in communication because before they used to use landline phones which were a bit hard to hear from but when you have a product like an iPhone which is good because if you can not hear you can just raise the volume but on a landline phone you just can’t do that. Another area that you can use it in is gaming because back in the 40s and 50s there used to be no video games so people had to imagine them playing some games but now they can play that game on an Xbox, ps, and Nintendo.

Personally I think it should be the object such as watches, smartphones, or like stuff that we use in everyday life. Because as the paragraph above says the world changed and those products must be more high tech too. 

In my opinion, we have to redesign our everyday products because we would need to catch up with everyone which is changing everyday. If we only stop still and don't improve anything then our life would be far behind others that are improving everyday. Which product is also like humans if we do not improve our things then our lives wouldn't come this far. For instance we wouldn't have our phone, air conditioner, car or even a house. Those things would not happen if humans didn't improve their things or think outside the box. So to make our life more convenient we should improve every day.

I think this might not be an products/objects but it’s a program actually. It’s called AirDrop. I want it to improve by dropping stuff from one device to another with no internet. It’s true that the world has changed and become more high tech though some places aren’t developed yet so if it’s not developed the internet may be bad or worse no internet. Without the internet we couldn’t Airdrop.

The aesthetic of this product is really good because it has decorations and watercolor paintings on the chopstick holder. The product also has many colors and shapes with might matches with the style that many people likes. The dots on the holder that was painted with watercolor were very cool and it shows the traditional decorations of Japanese culture. 

Function:

The function of this product seems to be good, because the holder has a curve on it which makes the chopstick stays on the holder without rolling away. The function of this product might be very good because it was made out of glass or hard substance that is safe to put your chopsticks on, it will be strong enough. 

The manufacture of this product is majority good. The product may use sand paper for sure because of it’s curved edge that should be smooth and not have bumps which sand paper helps a lot. The color on it must be hand painted or else it wouldn’t be this detailed.

The material is clearly ceramic as the same as the first product. This product also has color on it which means that it should be safe and non-toxic dye or else it would be harmful for our health because be use this for our chopsticks. The holder is also made out of glasses to cover up the whole holder again after it was painted to make sure that the color doesn’t rip off after using it for a while.

The user of this product should be adults, most adults find these type of chopstick holders interesting because it has a great style on the holder. The holder also has a hand painted color on it which should catch the attention of elders or older people because they might find the painting traditional.

Overall, the product is really good, the aesthetic is one of the best between the ones I’ve analysed. But the main challenge and limitation is the function. The circled shape holder is the main problem because the chopsticks might not be secure on the product. Other than that, everything is really good.
