Sejarah kemasukan Kompang .

Syarah Athilah Binti Mohd Isa (203026)

Sejara asal usul kompang

Drums (Jawi: کومڤڠ) is a type of traditional musical instruments such as drums for the Malay community in the archipelago. In addition, kompang is also sometimes used by the Bajau tribe on the coast of Sabah, Malaysia, although not included in their original tradition. [1] [2] It belongs to the group of drum instruments. Kompang skin is usually made from female goat skin, but recently, the skin is also made from cow skin, buffalo skin and even synthetic rubber.
Musical instruments are from the Arab world and were brought in to Malaya whether early Melaka by Indian Muslim traders, or through Java in the 13th century by Arab traders.
