Example: out, pre, pro) and suffixes (affixes that follow root words, -s, -er, -est). </p><p><mark>Root Words: </mark>Base word; a single word that cannot be broken into smaller meaningful words or parts. Example: auto, bio. </p><p><br/></p><p>In my fieldwork, the walls of the classroom are filled with different root words, prefixes and suffixes.
