Also there was a big basket by Cortney Ramey to make Webster groves win a state title, but they also got to the final four. On the game against SLUH, Webster Groves Basketball team said that They wanted to make sure they took the first four minutes. Then, Courtney Ramey scored some big baskets for them. After that it was halftime and the score was 40-20. Webster Groves winning. Then Later on he moved to Webster Groves. In 1950 Jim Krebs began his journey with the University Mustangs.  Website CHD states that "During his journey in basketball everyone didn't support his talent.''  According to CHD, ''In 1966 basketball player Bill Russell started to get in the way of Jim.'' Jim then joined  the NBA. He was in the NBA in 1959-1963. Even though during his NBA years Wilt Chamberlain was getting in the way just like Bill Russell, Jim kept going.
            Later on in 1964 Jim retired from his basketball dreams. After he retired Jim lived a total of one year. In 1964 Jim tragically died. His death was caused from a tree limb. On May 6th Jim went to his neighbors house to do a favor of cutting their tree down. Little did he know he wasn't going to live after that day. As Jim was cutting the tree it tilted the wrong way and struck his head. http://www.latimes.com/local/datadesk/ states that, ''Jim was 30 when he died tragically from an accident.''

Groenier mentions, what he remembers is “he pressed the button that said walk, then he felt the pressure of the left tire on his body being dragged about 30 ft”.This is a claim by the KSDK website

Groenier has “splintered bones in his knee, a severe concussion and deep scrapes over large portions of his body”. Groenier's Mom created a gofundme https://www.gofundme.com/james-groeniers-healing-help page so people can donate money to help Groenier with his surgery. The goal is 25,000, They are at 9,000 so please donate and help out Groenier get through this. Although Groenier suffered a severe injury, he has a lot of friends who are willing to be by his side. Most of the friends are musicians so they came together and decided to put on a concert at the Webster roves high school.  One of good friends says that she surprised to see him hurt and down because Groenier is such a big person that its weird to see him in the hospital bed.

The eclipse will stretch from Oregon to South Carolina. Only fourteen states will get a nice clear view of the eclipse. Those fourteen states are Orego ,Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska ,Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. The solar eclipse happened last in St.Louis in 1442!! The solar eclipse will last a range of 2:00-13:00 minutes, and temperatures may drop 10-15 degrees! The SLAS (St.Louis Astronomical Society) believes that Queeny Park is the best place to be when the eclipse comes. SAFETY is what the SLAS is worried about. Eclipse watchers should not look at the sun, even though 90% of it will be covered, because to the naked eye it does a lot of damage. The only good time to look at the sun is when there's corona around it. Corona means that the stars, moon and the sun will all develop more. Witch  means that the moon will go over the sun. The SLAS is handing out protective glasses for watching the eclipse. I HIGHLY suggest you pick some up at the event at Queeny park on Aug.21. You can also order them on Amazon or another distributing site. Caldwell had seen his dad with his doctors again, again, and again while his dad was suffering from type two diabetes. Caldwell has seen something he could change. He said, ''I saw my dad and I've seen others of my family in the hospital, I just believe that I can do better than other doctors.'' People kept doubting him, but he still would like to be a doctor. Webster Groves High School was the first established in 1889 as a ninth grade course. The original High school building was located on Gray Avenue, which was later repurposed as Bristol Elementary School. In 1906 a new building for the school built at this current locations, 100 Selma Avenue. James Hixson served as principal from  1907 to 1943. At first the high school was two story bricks with three classrooms and a auditorium. In 1913 two wings were added to the school,which contained an auditorium and a gymnasium. In 1917 an Armory was erected, but it was converted to the gymnasium/lunch room after ww1. In 1946 that building was replaced by Roberts Gym, named after Charles A. Roberts, who coached and taught at the school for 39 years. In the 1920s a three-story section and public library were added. In 1935 an addition was completed that added the drama, home economics, and science department classrooms. Howard Latta's was principal from 1943 to 1968. WGHS was racially integrated in 1956, and in 1966 a three-story wing was added onto the back of the building and the Herbert Schooling Library was donated. Jerry Knight was principal from 1969 to 1986.Patricia Voss was principal 1994–2003. Since 1977 Voss had been an assistant principal at the high school. In October 2002 a white powdery substance found in a tissue box provoked a two-hour lockdown. Investigators later determined the substance was not Anthrax. The Webster Groves School Board appointed Jon Clark as principal in 2003. Clark had been an assistant principal at the high school for seven years. In 2011, construction began on a 106,000-square-foot addition to the school. Completed in 2012, this addition included new classrooms, state-of-the-art science labs, vocational labs, a main band room, private band practice rooms and art studios. The roof of the building also features a vegetation area surrounded by a glass curtain wall. In addition, three 20,000 gallon water harvesting tanks are located at the base of the building for rain collection and irrigation for the field behind the building. The expansion was built to resemble the look of the existing building, including the use of terrazzo floors and steps, and limestone accents. The Webster Groves High School building has 84 classroom along with the auditorium, a media center, and a theater. It has a soccer field to the west and a baseball and softball field to the east. Moss Field, the football stadium, is located at Hixson Middle School at 630 South Elm Avenue, a short drive from the high school. The field was built in 1946 and has been renovated several times. It now has locker rooms, bleachers, lights and an all-weather track.

When he was ten his brother Anthony got shot and killed in northern St Louis. Adrian attended Webster Groves high school to play football and won three awards in high school, two of them were the Missouri All State ,and one of them is the Missouri Player of the Year which he won in 2005. After he finished high school he got drafted to go to the University of Iowa to play Football where he played with Iowa from 2006 to 2010. He started out playing as a second string defensive lineman where he saw most of his action on special teams.  He had two breakout seasons for Iowa where he had 20 tackles for loss and in the second breakout season he won Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week and he also got into the final four for the Rotary Lombardi Award. He was also named the MVP of the Orange bowl in 2009. In 2011 he was invited to attend the 2011 NFL draft where he was the 20 pick in the first round where he got drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and played with them for four years. His first sack was against Matt Ryan of the Falcons in which he forced a fumble that was recovered by NFL star Michael Bennett On March 12 2015 Adrian Clayborn signs with the Atlanta Falcons He resigns with the Falcons on March, 9, 2016 for 2.9 million dollars. During the 2017 divisional playoff round against the Seattle Seahawks Clayborn suffers a torn bicep  and was put on the DL January 17, 2017. Sorry to be him missing out on the Super Bowl in which the Falcons made it into. The Falcons lost that Super bowl in stupid fashion. They blew a 28-3 lead.

Hixson’s current principal is Dr.Grace Lee. Assistant principal Are  Dr.Aimee Vogt and Dr.Todd Roberts.

In 2008, Hixson was awarded the state of Missouri's Gold Star honor. Hixson was named to Missouri’s top ten list, ranking third for sustained high performance in eighth grade mathematics scores and science scores, as determined by the Missouri Assessment Program. In 2007, Hixson made the Top Ten list for its seventh grade mathematics scores.Hixson was named for James Hixson, longtime Webster Groves High School principal. Hixson sits on 20 acres 81,000 m2 , including Moss Field, a sports field shared with WGHS. A library annex was added onto the building in 1998, and a recent bond issue made possible a variety of building improvements: central air conditioning, wireless networking, new roofing, and complete renovation of the auditorium and cafeteria.
