         <description><![CDATA[<div>My name is Priscila Rosa, I am 30 years old and am from São Paulo, a city located in Brazil. I have been teaching English for 9 years in language centers and for 6 years at public schools. The areas of interest I have in teaching are ESL, English as an international language, Based-content Teaching. I am also fascinated by World History, especially about English-speaking and Portuguese-speaking countries.<br><br>Right now, I am looking forward to learning more about English language as well as U. S. history. Moreover, I am really looking forward to traveling to a different place.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>#1: when teachers take into account their students' prior knowledge/background, classes tend to be more successful and meaningful.<br><br>#2: students will be more interested in learning when teachers relate the content to their lives, for instance, when I watched Mrs. Addis' class, I noticed how students were engaged during the activities because she focused on a content regarding to their nationalities and facts that they did not know about their people. On the other hand, when I attended the German class, the teachers did not use their students' reality as an ally in order to stimulate students.<br><br>#3: it made me reflect about the way I manage my classes as well as if I am really designing them according to my students' prior knowledge/background.</div>]]></description>
