- Sad to say, suffering and unhappiness are part of life. No one can escape it.

- Unhappiness and suffering come from our desires. Without desires, we would all be grateful and there would be no suffering.

- Some people could over come desire and greed to reach nirvana, which is a state of perfect peace. Reaching nirvana frees the soul suffering and from the need for further reincarnation.

- People can overcome ignorance and desire by following an eight fold path that leads to enlightenment, and salvation.
