         <description><![CDATA[<div>The DP coordinator can help align the whole-school approach to change management encouraging data analysis, agreeing on a common vision, and targeting leaders in the school community who could assist with implementation. </div><div><br>Delivering instructional PD in regards to andragogical approaches will allow for improved teaching and learning for students and staff through differentiated instruction.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Guidance for course selection offers the coordinator an opportunity to establish stronger relationships with the college coordinator as well as students and parents</div><div><br></div><div>Scheduling offers the opportunity to work with departments as an opportunity to review and revise internal assessment schedules.&nbsp;</div><div><br>Reviewing curricular expectations leading to the Diploma Progarmme offer an opportunity to review vertical articulation and student data to determine potential learning gaps that may be occurring.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>The review process offers the opportunity for the whole school to evaluate the effectiveness of the programme and to make appropriate changes through reflection.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Community demonstrating a commitment to the programme can be an challenge due to staff turnover and the difficulty in measuring commitment. Determining measurable elements in terms of commitment may prove to be difficult</div><div><br></div><div>Resources for Coordinator to carry out responsibilities are a challenge for some schools due to staffing, financial restrictions and time. The resource of&nbsp; time is always scarce and making opportunities to meet with teams and whole staff and plan meaningful PD is challenging.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>When advising students and parents whether or not to enroll, gathering an appropriate amount of data is crucial. Also, the PD coordinator must be prepared for difficult discussions that may involve recommendation for non-enrollment</div><div><br></div><div>Making sure that procedures and practices are clearly understood by all members of the community.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>When advising students in regards to the requirements for university admissions the coordinator must make sure that any information shared in this regard must be done so with the understanding of the college counselor.</div><div><br></div><div>As a part of the pedagogical team it is a challenge to address and prioritize school and student needs and those of the programme.&nbsp;<br><br>It is a challenge to ensure that students receive the appropriate support they need for their classes with a large student population. Strategies and procedures must be put into place to ensure this. Not only must the DP coordinator work to develop this system, but must also be familiar with  the criteria and assessments in multiple subject areas in order to understand student needs. </div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Leading discussions as to how an organization measures commitment to the programme could lead to concrete reflection that could be executed regularly.<br><br>When clarifying DP program procedures and practices, the DP coordinator and school admin can take the opportunity to revise at school procedures and policies to better support the programme. <br><br>The difficult conversations that involve a recommendation for non-enrollment in the program should lead to a school reflection as to why this referral occurred. These internal school reflections can gather information on student support services, assessment, curriculum and communication.&nbsp;<br><br>Clear clarification in regards to roles and responsibilities for the college counselor and DP coordinator can lead to sound teaming between these two roles and improved communication.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>
