         <description><![CDATA[<div>The camps were large, with small barracks in an isolated area.  Paul Ohtaki stayed at Manzanar and recalled that sand would always blow in his face, since it was in the desert.  He claims that beds were made of straw and he would attend school in there.  Ohtaki would only be able to leave the camp by taking farming jobs under military supervision.  During his stay there, a riot broke out where two people were killed and others were injured.  In this riot, a 10 year old kid was shot.</div>]]></description>

Some of which would be detained by the Department of Justice under the" Alien and Sedition Act." Although the only ones to be detained were Italian Nationalist. Executive order 9066 and 9102 allowed them to remove  people from designated areas for the purpose of national security. </div>]]></description>
