Hello beautiful teachers!

This is a shared Padlet, where you all can post valuable information about any excursions you venture on with your students and share materials.

Feel free to include any relevant details that the other teachers might find useful (f.ex. the entrance fees, level appropriateness, exercises to do before / during / after a trip, duration, etc.).

A2 Excursion to the Howth Cliff Walk. We took the Red Line from Jervis to Connolly Station, then the train to Howth. We walked to the first lookout point, and returned. This was plenty of time for the AM class, but would be cutting it close, if even possible--for PM. Students were given nature-related vocabulary during the week.

B2 Excursion to the Botanic Garden. We took the bus 83A and it was a 10mins commute. The afternoon was gorgeous, and the students enjoyed the sunlight while looking for features they might be interested in. They really enjoyed it.

We took the green line to Harcourt and shopped around, exploring pretty much every charity shop from Portobello to Capel Street. Students have been studying / discussing fashion all week. (Adjectives to describe fashion, fast fashion, clothes we buy but never wear). In small groups, students chose a model to buy clothes for (€3-4 pp), and had to style them with garments found in op-shops. The next day, we had a fashion show, students had to describe the outfits they chose and why. They then had to create a mood board and additional outfits for their line on Canva.
