Transportation and quality of food<br>2. The government decides what to do with taxes and makes sure that it is getting spent on beneficial things.<br><br>Government Structure:<br>1. Executive, Legislative, Judicial<br>2. The Legislative Branch makes laws, Executive Branch carries out the laws, Judicial Branch evaluates laws.<br>3. Legislative- Congress, Executive- President, Judicial- Supreme Court<br><br>Our Role in Government:<br>1. By voting in all elections.<br>2. 18<br>3. November 8th<br><br>Leaders of our Government:<br>1. Executive Branch<br>2. The Senate and House of Representatives<br>3. Senate- 100 (2 from each state) and House of Representatives- 435<br>4. 9<br>5. If we didn't have all 3 branches we would have too much power in one branch and our country wouldn't be fair. &nbsp;<br><br>Government in Action:<br>1. Judicial Branch<br>2. Executive Branch<br><br>Dictatorship:<br>1. A government in which one person has absolute power.<br>2. They could be elected or appointed.<br>3. Someone who wants all power of the military.<br><br>Democracy:<br>1. A democracy is a government run by the people.&nbsp;<br>2. Direct and Representative<br>3. Representative or (Indirect)<br>4. Citizens rule and we have free elections in a Democracy. This is important because we are the ones who make the main decisions and decide who is in charge of what.<br>5. Greece<br><br>Differences Between Dictatorship and Democracy:<br>1. People can vote leaders in and out of office in a Democracy and this can not be done in a Dictatorship.&nbsp; There is a President in a Democracy but not in a Dictatorship.<br>2. No.<br>3. I would want to live in a Democracy because I think it is important to be able to have a say in my countries actions.<br><br>Sum it Up!<br>1. It is important to have a government run by its people because we all live together and should have a say in how things are done. We need to take ownership of the place we live.<br>2. I don't think I would want to run for any Executive office because I would  not want the stress of making those big decisions.<br>3. Yes! I will definitely want to vote and have a say in who gets elected&nbsp;into office.</div>]]></description>
