Dictatorship:
1. A government in which one person has absolute power.
2. They could be elected or appointed.

Democracy:
1. A democracy is a government run by the people.

4. Citizens rule and we have free elections in a Democracy. This is important because we are the ones who make the main decisions and decide who is in charge of what.

Differences Between Dictatorship and Democracy:
1. People can vote leaders in and out of office in a Democracy and this can not be done in a Dictatorship.  There is a President in a Democracy but not in a Dictatorship.

Sum it Up!
1. It is important to have a government run by its people because we all live together and should have a say in how things are done. We need to take ownership of the place we live.
2. I don't think I would want to run for any Executive office because I would not want the stress of making those big decisions.
