It took two million blocks to build a great pyramid. It was hard for slaves to do this, and it took almost all their lifetime to be half done. Since Egyptians didn't have the technology we have today to help them build the pyramids, it took them even longer. Now days a pyramid took 5 to 10 years to build, since helicopters and cranes can be used to lift the stone blocks high in the air and stack them together. Now days we don't need individuals or slaves to build it step by step, which took way much longer.
