Welcome Class, in this assignment we will be evaluating social economics in America and the relationship between social behavior and economics. Social economics consists of two broad perspectives that, though opposite in their approach, can be thought of as complementary. Pioneered by Nobelist Gary Becker, applies the basic theoretical tools of neoclassical microeconomics to areas of human behavior not traditionally considered as parts of economics, such as crime and punishment, drug abuse, marriage, and family decisions. This is a group activity where all members are expected to contribute to the subsets that make up this interesting concept.

My name is Mr. Ware and I will be assisting you and your groups through this assignment for next week. I have been teaching for over ten years and have taught at every level of education. Currently, I teach high school special education and coach track and field. I have two children, my son is 8 and my daughter is 5. When I am blessed with free time I like to work on projects around my house in addition to riding bikes with my family. I have a bucket list of activities that I would like to do, on the top of that list is sky diving and visiting the Grand Canyon. I look forward to working with all of you on this project.

Reply back to this greeting and give a brief introduction of yourself.

We will be looking at the subsets that make up Social Economics In America. It is human nature to make assumptions about an individual's current positions in life. Often times there are stereotypes placed on people who are dealing with poverty. For example, one may associate being poor with uneducated or laziness. We as a society must break away from our comfort zone. When we quantify data and have real discussions with the people that make up poverty-stricken areas then we can start to empathize with the needs and challenges of socioeconomics disadvantages.

Directions:
Each group will divide subsets amongst each other. There are many aspects to consider but for the sake of time restrictions, we will stick to the following.
-Income
-education
-employment
-community safety
