I love the journey of how Edward changes as a person in the story. It reminds me so much of my favorite childhood story that my mom used to read me, The Velveteen Rabbit. I love reading this book to my class. I've read it lots of times, and it still makes me cry and fills my heart with love every time I read it! Not many books can give both of those emotions. Kate DiCamillo is a very talented writer!
