Notice: Everything, from groceries to gas costs a lot more than it did 4 years ago.
Problem: Since Covid, an excess in spending, government handouts, a lack of competency of the Federal Reserve, and continued supply shortages have led to inflation.
Questions: Is the government doing what it should to prevent inflation? How much is the people's spending to blame? How much did the Covid stimulus packages affect inflation? How bad of a recession would it take to curb inflation? Wouldn't drilling for our own oil instead of buying it be more cost effective?
Stakes: Families can't afford food or gas, a strain is put on the poor and working class, and the US currency is devalued and at risk of becoming not the worldwide standard currency.
