         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Pueblo Revolt of 1680 was a major uprising by the Pueblo people against Spanish colonization in present-day New Mexico. For decades, the Spanish had imposed their rule through religious conversion, forced labor, and cultural suppression. Indigenous traditions were outlawed, sacred spaces were destroyed, and those who resisted were punished. These conditions, combined with droughts and attacks by neighboring tribes, created widespread resentment among the Pueblo communities</p>]]></description>
