This subject has had been my favorite this semester since the faculty had painstakingly made efforts to teach their students amidst a pandemic; something not a lot of lecturers give the time for (even by a bare minimum). Better still, although the subject boasts to be very difficult, your faculty understands this and does not patronize, but rather encourage students to push forward with mnemonics and study tips. Major kudos and respect to all of you po, for remaining to enkindle spirits of medical students in a very difficult time of everyone's lives.

I am thankful for this faculty. Not only have you showed us what resilience means but also being compassionate. Tbh last semester, pharma was one the subjects I put last when I study cos I really didn’t know how to study for it yet. I also had below passing grades ever since LE2, where “the real thing” began na we had to study all the drugs na. I got so scared to take pharma exams cos I don’t want to fail more exams... but a few LEs later, because you’re really hands on with us, you teach with your hearts and you always believed in us, I finally enjoyed studying pharma. It’s my current favorite subject hehe my grades aren’t that high but at least I learned to love the subject because of you. Thank you so much po mga doc! We love you!!! Please stay safe po! I would like to use this opportunity to thank all of you for making Pharmacology and enjoyable subject. Saying that Pharma difficult is definitely an understatement, but through your compassion, dedication, and receptiveness helped me appreciate everything that I learned! I admit that Pharmacology exams are one of my most dreaded exams during LE season, but I'm just so thankful for all your lectures that motivated me to study hard for good grades. I'm also very thankful for the preceptorial sessions, and for always emphasizing a holistic approach in treating patients. I may have to review the different drug groups again for future use, but I will never forget the joy I felt when I was being taught by some of the best lecturers ever in med school. Pharma really is hard, the exams, the requirements, the lessons but all of these seem calculated and rationale. Its not extremely overbearing and we understand the situation that we are in. Maybe we don't have the best grades right now, but we're surely trying and we know you are too. Thank you for your understanding and patience. Thank you so much for being consistent since the start of the school year for being the most organized dept whether it’s scheduling or the canvas uploads. I don’t mind having synchronous classes even the whole period is being exhausted because I believe that a difficult subject must be well taught and a video lecture can’t match a real-time explanation just like how it’s done in face to face classes. To all the wonderful teachers of the pharma department, thank you for being one of the departments that went beyond just teaching, but really letting the students feel that you care about their welfare and not just their grades. Pharma is such a challenging subject to master and learn, but personally, knowing that our profs are making the time and effort to help us learn AND pass motivates me to do my best, even when it’s difficult. Thank you for making means for us to pass and hatak our grades, even when all hope seems lost. Thank you for teaching us to not just be well-equipped physicians, but also good people in general who take care in caring for the person as a whole, beyond their diagnosis. Most, if not all, of my favorite profs are from the department (shout out to Doc Cabreros, Doc Macaraig, Doc Zotomayor, Doc Palileo, Doc Bagain, Doc Garcia, basically the entire department!) because it’s with this department that I felt that, when it comes to education, learning is what’s most important, not teaching.

I still remember clearly when I had my interview for UERM-COM, I entered the room of the interviewer then I saw Doc Cabreros with a very welcoming smile. He asked me back then “Are you sure you are ready? Medicine school will break you, while your friends are getting married and having fun, you’ll be studying, are you up for that” with a smile on his face. At that moment, I really thought about it, “am I really ready for this?” After I answered yes, Doc also mentioned all the ups and satisfaction from studying medicine, however, for me what I realized back then was that if I can meet more than one professor just as genuine and sincere as him, I’m sure going to med school would be worth it. And then there comes the Pharma department. A department of great doctors AND great teachers. For me, it doesn’t matter if you’re a great doctor in a medicine school, what’s important is that your students learn from you. I hated Pharma during the first sem because it was all memorization, also because it’s one of the subjects I’m really not good in, but after a few more lectures and my favorite Pharma SGDs, I learned that it’s one of the most important subjects in med school and I AM SO GRATEFUL for all the Pharma profs because not once did I (and my batchmates) feel neglected in this department. Thank you for your organized schedule, all your synchronous classes, and for always telling us “kaya niyo yan.” Even in SGDs, I always felt the sincerity of our preceptors. A big shoutout to my previous preceptors, Doc Cabreros, Doc Zotomayor, Doc Faye, Doc Reyes, and Doc Macaraig. Thank you very much and I will miss this department big time!

I super admire your passion for teaching po. Hindi lang super clear and concise, may pa-poem pa san ka pa hahaha. I think you won't remember but you were the one who interviewed me when I was applying for UERM. Siguro po, kaya ang taas ng expectations ko because I was welcomed by you. Doc, super idol ko po talaga kayo at sobrang nanghihinayang po ako na hindi ko kayo makikilala in person. Sobrang gusto ko po pag kayo yung nagtuturo ng topic. Very clear and concise tapos hindi rin giveaway sa exam. Yung parang may tiwala po kayong kaya namin sagutin kung nag-aral kaming mabuti. Nakakarefresh po kasi, alam mong fair. Salamat po, Doc! Super bet ko rin po humor niyo hehe

Hello Doc! Masaya po ko at kayo ang precept namin nung 4th LE (clue na kung sino to hehe) kasi po akala po namin nun f2f na finally ng second sem tapos biglang hindi pa. Sobrang di po ako motivated pero dahil po sa inyo, naalala ko po kung bakit ako andito. Salamat po sa pagremind sa amin ng medicine na dapat relevant to the Philippines. Padayon, Doc!

Pharma has been really remarkable to us. All

Maraming salamat po sa quality ng pagtuturo ninyo at nararamdaman ko po yung concern niyo sa amin. Hindi po talaga madali yung subject niyo pero kita pong ginagawa niyo yung best niyo. Very consistent din po. Maraming salamat ulit!
