When Percy an his mom are on a trip to Montauk something is strange it was like the sea and the sky were fighting. Percy's mom and Percy leave and start driving to a mysterious summer camp that his real dad told his mom about, and on the way they meet a Stayr- half man half goat, Grover. On the way they are intercepted by a monster (The Minotaur) and the Minotaur takes Percy's mom! He goes to the camp, but there he finds out that he is a Greek Demigod, and everything changes. So he goes on a quest to save his mom and the world.

The main characters are Greek and a lot of the kids at Camp Half Blood are diverse.

This is a great diverse book to read, because you can see the struggles of being a person of color.

(and the new resident of Abby's ancestral home) They quickly put this terrible history aside and become best friends. However, while Abby was showing Bee around the grounds of the plantation, they discover Keep Out signs by Felony Bay. Abby is sure that the bay has always been part of the plantation. Will the girls be able to solve the mystery of Felony Bay and clear Mr. Force's name?

After all, she didn't even remember her owner in the human world. All of her friends in The Land of Dolls are always so sad because they miss their owners in the human world. While the Rats are attacking, a kind wind guides Karolina and her friend away and Karolina suddenly gets transported to the human world with out knowing it. There, she makes friends with a kind but self cautious dollmaker, a young kind girl, and her father, - who are Jewish - and a spirit. Seems interesting?

On Malú's first day of seventh grade, her heavily made-up eyes (SuperMexican tells her she looks like Nosferatu) earn her both chiding from a mean girl named Selena Ramirez and a dress-code violation. She later makes friends, starts a band, and even performs in front of the whole school! In the end, she feels at home.
