Daerungwon is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a part of Gyeongju's historic site. Daerungwon is a Silla-era tomb with a total floor space of 125,400 pyeong. It houses 23 tombs including kings, queens and aristocrats of the Silla Dynasty. Since there are no written records or tombstones in the tomb, it is difficult to know the specific year of the tomb. Also, excavation is difficult because the inside of Daerungwon has stone-lined walls.

Cheomseongdae is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a part of Gyeongju's historical site. Cheomseongdae is about 9 meters high, as was the case with astronomical observations from the Silla Dynasty that observed the movement of celestial bodies. According to ancient records, a ladder was placed on the outside, entered through a window, and then climbed to the top using a ladder. Astronomy is deeply related to agriculture in that it can determine the timing of farming according to the movement of the sky. It is also closely related to politics, given the fact that astrology, which used to predict the good fortune of the country according to the observations, was considered important. Cheomseongdae is the oldest observatory in the East, and is highly valuable and shows the high level of science at the time.
