Some of their family members may have also cut ties with them, or they may be abandoned in nursing homes all by themselves.</p></li><li><p>RSVP Singapore is a social service agency (community group) that actively engages senior citizens. Volunteers in the MyBuddy programme help recently discharged elderly patients cope at home by conducting regular house visits to take care of them or provide moral support.</p></li><li><p>[think of an advantage of having a community group like RSVP to help the elderly.          <description><![CDATA[<ol start="2"><li><p>the disabled people may have disadvantages when they are carrying out daily activities such as climbing up the stairs and carrying heavy things. </p></li><li><p>DPA (disable peoples association) donation drive sponsors communities and collects preserved food and gives it back to the unwealthy ones.</p></li><li><p>So that the disabled people will not feel left out and can get help when they need. They will also not get judged for their disabilities but get acknowledged by their abilities.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>One group of people who we are focusing on would be people with disabilities. </p></li><li><p>Their movements are restricted which causes them to be unable to live like us, normal human beings, especially people who need the help of wheelchair. There are places which are not wheelchair user friendly, which prevents them from visiting those places. </p></li><li><p>One example of a government initiative addressing challenges faced by people with disabilities is the SG Enable in Singapore which serves as the focal agency for disability and aims to build an inclusive society and enable lives.&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>The advantages of having individuals to help this group of people would be like for example, a disabled person's dream is to go for a concert. However, the person needs the help of a wheelchair to go from place to place. This is when we, as individuals, can step in to help by communicating with the staff who are holding the concert to step up and for all of us to help the person fulfill his/her wish. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol start="2"><li><p>Physical barriers: lack ramps, narrow doorways, and stairs can make it difficult for individuals with mobility impairments to access public buildings, homes, or transportation.</p></li></ol><ul><li><p>Lack of adaptive technology: Many public spaces and environments are not designed with accessible features like automatic doors, elevators, or accessible bathrooms.</p></li></ul><p><br></p><ol start="3"><li><p>Organizations like Society for the Physically Disabled (SPD) etc. can help physically disabled people by providing them services like education, therapy and day care programs.</p></li></ol><p><br></p><ol start="4"><li><p>Most of the time, families/friends/people who are associated with the physically disabled people, if it is too serious, are just not able to care for them either because of monetary issues or because they do not have enough time to care for them due to work etc. Thus, community groups like SPD are able to care for them, and might also be able to care for them better than individual people. Benefits could include increased manpower and better services provided by the communities that could really benefit the physically disabled.</p></li></ol>]]></description>

It causes a lot of financial difficulties for the people in those families as they would have a constant worry about money spendage on their children etc.</p></li></ol><p>3.The government implemented the Financial Assistance Scheme(FAS), which covers the cost of school and standard miscellaneous fees- covering the costs of textbooks, uniforms and bus rides, to meet basic schooling needs, which reduces the stress which financial difficulties put on families.</p><p><br></p><ol start="4"><li><p>advantages like food donation drives can help provide food to low income families, which can reduce one constant worry about putting food on the table for their families. People like secondary schoolers, those in tertiary education can give free tuition to primary/secondary schoolers and help them with their studies and these tutors can give free of charge tuition as a way to give back to the community,and helping these children do well in their academics without the need for spending loads of money for tuition. </p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>1) youths at risk are a group of people who might require more support and attention than others.</p><p>2) In the youth, they could have received insufficient attention and love from their family and friends which could cause them to be emotionally less developed which could result in addiction, depression and suppression </p><p>3) teens who faced internal issues within their family could result in them seeking drugs as a short-term solution to their problems. For example, there are many instances which teens turn to vaping, smoking or the use of drugs. </p><p>The government has imposed many campaigns to alert people, especially teens about the negative consequences of drugs in hopes of preventing future drug abuse by making them aware of how it not only affects them but othes around them. </p><p>4) There are also rehab communities for recovering youth addicts so they have others who face similar struggles so they can  get support and advice from people of similar ages on how to get better, which could aid addiction recovery. After the victims realise how good they feel after completing their rehab sessions, they share their experiences with other teens so they will avoid making the same mistakes as they did. Thus, also preventing future occurrences </p>]]></description>
