         <description><![CDATA[<div>While both hemispheres have broad functions in language and music, we see that each side has specialized strengths. We typically think of left brain as the side for the denotation of language and specialized tasks like hierarchical thinking. The right brain is known for the intonation of language and being able to follow patterns in music and language.          <title>Howard Gardner</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Gardner was the first to champion "Multiple Intelligences", the idea that there is activity from all parts of the brain that are responsive to different strengths. We now know that the brain is more complex than Gardner's initial finding; however, knowing that individual strengths can be utilized in the classroom was a relief to many parents and educators. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Children's brains are more plastic, but less efficient than adults. If damage to the brain occurs in children, like discussed with those missing half of their brain, children's brains will adapt to meet their  needs. It may not completely mimic the missing part, but it will adapt so the child can function. </div>]]></description>
