We do not have to know a person to know what type of energy they bring out. Geraldo is seen as a "wetback" , which is a term people use for someone who obviously does not belong in the area. We value the materialistic aspects of society, meaning if someone has less than what we do, we look down upon them. We also judge those based on their skin color, for in this case they are seen as "dangerous" or "peculiar" for they differ from us. That is how we can be lost in society, if we have this false utopia type of mentality, then we could be out of touch in reality. That is why when Geraldo first stepped foot in this dance joint, all eyes are on him immediately.

From the information, we can decipher that he was possibly working a menial job at a restaurant and living a hand to mouth existence. He was possibly not from the United States as he didn't speak English. Despite his poverty, he liked to have fun. He enjoyed dancing and would go out in what he thought were his best party clothes to dance.
