Kindergarten made drastic growth second semester but not in the first semester

We think there needs to be more attention paid to learning specific vocabulary and how to answer TRC questions.

We wonder if remediation will correspond directly to our TRC goals of incorporating letter sounds and sight words.

We see a negative increase at MOY. We also see a dramatic positive decrease in the amount of children below grade level from MOY to EOY.

We think that the negative increase at MOY is due to the higher expectations on the rubric compared to BOY.

We wonder why their is a time limit on the growth of a child when every child learns at a different rate/pace. This should not be reflected on the teacher.

First has a broad spectrum to jump to be considered on grade level at the end of the year. The first grade transfers from blue to green very quickly according to CCS expectations.

As the skills become increasingly difficult, the students continue to make progress and maintain the previous skills.

The written response questions are not leveled to the book levels and students need to read these independently.

We see that our lowest point is MOY.

We think it's because it's the gap between BOY and MOY requirements. dramatically increase. BOY proficient level is D with no written response and by MOY it's a G with written response.

We wonder how we can bridge that gap.
