Game "What's Missing?"

lesson: getting started

1.Arrange pictures of household items on the board.

2. Divide into 4 groups. Students look at the images for a short period of time.

3.Remove one of the images.

4.Each group takes turns guessing which item has disappeared. The group that guesses correctly will get points.

5. Repeat this process in the next rounds.

6. end the game and announce the winning group, the group with the highest score.

Warm-up : Game A hidden word

1. Teacher divides the class into two teams and asks a member of each team to look at the pictures and answer the questions.

For each right answer, the team will get 1 point and 1 secret letter to help them find out the hidden word today.

There is one picture including two secret words. The team that gets this picture will get 2 points.

2. The team which has more points or can guess the hidden word first will be the winner.

-Teacher will introduce and explain the game. There are ten/fifteen things related to rooms and furniture that students learned. Students need to write down what can they see on the screen.

-Teacher will divide 4 groups and give each group a piece of paper.

- Let students look at them quickly and try to remember as much as they can in 2 minutes. Then teacher covers things.

-Let students write down their answers in 3 minutes, then let the groups exchange their answers to check. And teacher will show the answers on the screen.

Lesson 2: A Closer look 1

Warm up : game Guessing word

1.The teacher divides the class into two teams. Take a word according to a topic you want to test and write on the board or on paper a number of squares corresponding to the number of letters in that word.

2.The teacher writes the crosswords on the board. Each letter is a cell.

3.The player will guess one letter at a time. If that letter is in the crossword, the teacher will write that letter in the correct position. Each correct guess will score 1 point.

4.During the game, the team that finds the correct answer and reads the word correctly will score 2 points. On the contrary, after five wrong guesses (the number of times is determined by the teacher and players) if a correct letter has not been found, that team will lose.

1. Explain the rules of the game.

4. The teacher writes vocabulary related to the types of films on the board.

5. Students have 1 minute to memorize. Then the teacher erases a random word.

6. Each group writes down erased word on their group's board and raises the board as quickly as possible to win.
