Arthur Kleinman tells the stories of of men and women. Some of which whom have went through a lot of tough times. we meet a World War II veteran with PTSD, French-American woman aiding refugees, a Chinese doctor escaped from a revolution, and a few others. I like this book because I think books get boring after a while because the story gets dragged out. In this book the author to separate the story with in my opinion was a good move. Even better than that tho was the fact that the stories were interesting. I didn't expect this from a book written by a physicist I expected it to be long winded But it surprised me. I recommend this book to people who like multiple short stories about interesting topics ithink it is a good read
