We learned about: 
- At the Santa Fe Bridge in El Paso, US custom officials would spray Mexicans with Zyklon B and had "gas chambers" for this in a building. 
- Carmelita Torres, at the age of 17, started the bath riots because she refuse to be hosed down. 

Connections: 
- Connects to feminism and racism 
- Feminism: Carmelita Torres took a stand against she thought was wrong, which a majority of female did during many riots. However, they don't get recognition for it. Just like with any other strong female figures who don't end up in history books. 
- Racism: The bath riots aren't well known even though it's a prominent example of racism. We learned about: 
- Pachuca/o were a subgroup trying to reclaim their identity
- The riots were a series of attacks against Pachuco/a by American servicemen
-Targeted because of who they were. At the end of the day, it was the servicemen being scared about their “connection w gangs”
- It was a “rational” way for the servicemen to show their racism

We Learned About:
In regards to immigration, we learned about the Immigration Act of 1924 which ranked white Europeans as qualified immigrants since they are classified as whiteness. While Latino immigrants were considered to be deviant and criminal for wanting to cross the border for a better life.
