Alice, Mikey, Jake and I went to the film location of our documentary. As location scout I took photos and videos of our location so we can plan the filming of our scene accordingly.

Steve taught me how to set up the sound equipment and the basic setting since he is more experienced with sound than I am.

I set up my groups project on Avid. Our sound was not in sync with our footage as our tentacles hadn't synced so Kevin had to try and fix it for us.

As our Colin from Accounts shoot took place outside I couldn't design the set myself. Actors were able to make their costumes with clothes they had at home.

I had to take notes of each shot and take we had and write it down on the board to help with the editing process.

I had to edit the best shots we took together to create the full scene. I also had to edit out the sound coming from whatever actor wasn't speaking in the moment as background noise could sometimes be heard.

I ordered a mini statue of the Duke of Wellington to use as decor for the stage to symbolise a part of Scottish history as it is a popular tourist attraction in Glasgow. I also went to my local library and picked up some books for decor that related to theme of my groups show. I also used a basic fake flower on the stage to add a bit more detail.

While being on sound I wrote on tape below the sound levels which colour was which guest/our interviewer Jessica to help me. By having each guest and Jessica speak one by one to test their mics I listened to the volume of how they naturally spoke and adjusted the volume of their mics to fit them accordingly.

The casting director has been off for a while and isn't communicating in our crews group chat. I reached out to her asking when she would be in so we could work on the breakdown sheets together. My message was opened but ignored. I continued with working on the breakdown sheets without the casting director and completed what I could.

Our casting director, Chloe, arranged a meeting to work on paperwork as we only have a short while left until we begin to shoot. The plan was that the two of us would begin to work on the breakdown sheets together. Unfortunately I was stood up as the casting director never showed up. Chloe never opened the group chat messages asking where she was and gave no explanation as to why she hadn't shown up until half 10 at night.

Our production designer, Chris, has been off a lot and hasn't made any progress with character moodboards. Èilis and I decided to do the moodboards ourselves. We both done costuming and makeup moodboards for 2 characters each.

A production meeting was held with our lecturer, Noemi, where our group talked about our concerns. I expressed to Noemi my worries about Chloe as she has been unresponsive and not coming to class meaning I couldn't progress with the breakdown sheets. It was decided that I continue with the breakdown sheets by myself since our casting director was being unreliable.

Our crew had scheduled a rehearsal so we could practice for our first shoot. Only Èilis, Reigan, Mia and I showed up. The other 4 members of our group never gave an explanation as to why they didn't attend. Our rehearsal was mainly to practice using the camera but as our camera operator, Chris, never showed up this didn't happen.

Our director, Èilis passed on our actors to me over email. I discussed with them the location of where we were filming and began to discuss their availability with them.

Our production coordinator, Reigan, and I spent over an hour on a call together discussing the filming schedule and call sheets. Reigan revealed our last character had been cast meaning I could email our actors during this call and agree on a filming schedule with them.
